Under Deon Huysamer, the second generation leader, the business grew to become one of the top ten stockbroking businesses with an extensive presence in South Africa and Namibia. In 1996, after the deregulation of the JSE, the business was sold to a large international bank where Deon remained as MD of the South African securities business for three years.
