UIB Finance

United Insurance Brokers (UIB) was founded in 1987 following a management buy-out from Marsh & McLennan.

However, its origins go back to the 1960’s when the forerunner of UIB became the first insurance broker in the Middle East. Another notable “first” for UIB is that it became the first broker to be admitted to Lloyd’s without having to work under the so-called “umbrella” arrangements i.e. working with an existing Lloyd’s broker.

UIB was named in the Price Waterhouse and “Independent” Newspaper survey in 1995 as being one of the UK’s top 100 independent companies.

The founding directors, many of whom are still active in UIB, have worked together since the 1970’s providing a depth of knowledge and continuity seldom seen in the insurance business today.
