We founded August Equity in 2001 because we wanted to work closely with the businesses we invest in. The people in our investments talk to us regularly, and that’s the way we like it.

We invest in small and medium-sized businesses whose headquarters are in the UK. We often start smaller than other private equity firms, and build our businesses through acquisition and organic growth.

We like to start a relationship with a conversation. We’re active in the sectors we invest in so we talk as equals with the people and businesses we think have potential, finding out more, exploring opportunities, proposing solutions.

We really are a different kind of private equity firm.
